This special 10-disc box set entitled ‘THE ESSENTIAL MICHAEL HANEKE’ includes all Haneke's previously released work including both the original and American re-make of ‘FUNNY GAMES’, his breakthrough film.
In addition there is a previously unreleased film entitled ‘THE CASTLE’ which is an adaptation of an unfinished novel by Kafka. Included on this disc is a documentary called ’24 REALITIES PER SECOND’, which is a 60 minute documentary on Haneke and which has never been seen before in the UK.

This is the definitive body of work by this multi-award winning and often controversial director which will undoubtedly become a collectors’ item and a ‘must have’ for both lovers of his films and anyone with an interest in the best of world cinema.

The release of this box-set coincides with Artificial Eye’s theatrical release of Haneke’s Palme D’Or winning film, ‘THE WHITE RIBBON’ which is on general release Friday 13th November.
